Hello
We are 23rd Wigan Town St Maries Guides and we chose Book Aid Africa as our Changing the World project.
We held a Book Sale, besides books we sold t-shirts, African Jewellery (which we had made oursleves), African pictures and bookmarks, and we also had a reading tent where we read stories to younger children. We raised £47.10 with this sale.
We then completed a sponsored trail quiz around Yarrow Valley Country Park, ending with chips for supper. We had to run for shelter at the end as the heavens opened just as the chips arrived, but it didn't spoil our fun! We raised a further £58, making £105.10 in all.
