All my Guides are very young most of them have only just come up from Brownies so we have had to modifiy this slightly. We have already had a freindship party at Easter which was organised by the girls and they all invited their friends to come along. We have just been doing about bully (what it is, forms it takes and what to do if you are being bullied) not many of them new much about bullying so this has really opened their eyes and they have made some really good posters after having a very good and indepth discussion. over the next couple of months we are going to be making friendship jewellery when we are on camp in August and the girls are currently raising money by making their own money boxes to keep at home for any small change that they collect or by family and friends etc donating. Our Unit already has very good relationships with the other local groups in the Village so we are going to concentrate on other relationships that they might have outside of school and Guiding, be it other youth groups, neighbours and other friends. |

The Guide unit i work with voted for the Mental Health Foundation. The girls organized and ran their friendship party, to which they all bought a friend. It was a great night and we recruited 3 new Guides. |
