Hi
For our second Changing the World Challenge we decided to support the work of NDCS.
Our Rainbows have been learning to sign the Rainbow Promise (it's very hard for them - but great for new ones to remember their promise!). We practice this at every meeting and plan to "perform" to parents at our Coin Art event.
We read them Michaela's story from the pack and played simple lip-reading games and also made mini-Hands-Up "collages".
For our fund-raising activities we made "Change Choobes" (decorated kitchen roll tubes for them to take home and fill with coins) - so that we can carry out the Coin Art activity - we will be doing this at our next meeting. We have also held a Body Shop party to raise funds.
We have had a lot of fun carrying out these activities - and found the pack to be very helpful.
