hello,

We are only just starting our changing the world project at guides, and the girls decided on crisis (getting fairly excited about socks, mad bunch!)

I know your deadline to send socks has passed, but will you need any for next christmas? If so could we possibly send them to our local homeless charity?

Looking forward to getting into the activities properly after half term.

Thanks for you help

Firsty, I am sorry that this reply is so late in coming.  You may well have donated the socks by now, but I thought for general knowledge amongst Guide Groups it was still worth replying in full!

Our socks campaign has come to a close, as the socks would have gone to centres which were open last Christmas.  However, there are many other projects you can participate in - from a sponsored walk, knitting/making socks, bag packing at supermarkets...  It is up to you.  If you have collected socks already, then it would be best to donate these to a local charity shop or homeless shelter.  Obviously this will not come to Crisis but the donations will be put to good use.

Many thanks for your support!
